Bath Salts with dōTERRA Essential Oils

Giving the Gift of Relaxation

With some of the limitations the past few years during Covid, my mom and I embraced the opportunity to hand craft (it's super simple) some bath salts for friends and family.

This was by far one of the most popular gifts I have given - I ended up making several batches, and I found that it was not just our existing oil lovers that were drawn to these!

Another great benefit is that the salts soften the water so it is VERY good for winter skin - make some today for your friends to say Happy New Year!

This was our process and learnings:

Learnings

  • When possible it is best to have a range of scents, as everyone is different.

  • Most popular combination - from the 25+ gifted was 15 drops Wild Orange & 10 drops Lavender.

  • We tailored items by looking online for nice combinations for anyone with specific issues (arthritis, sleep issues, stress, etc).

  • Ordered the ingredients ahead of time online:

  • Ordered glass jars/lids and wooden scoops online from Dille & Kamille

DIY dōTERRA Essential Oils Bath Salts

RECIPE for bath salt base

  • 6 cups of sea salts

  • 3 cups Epsom salts

  • 1 cup Baking Soda

  • dōTERRA essential oils - for a medium size jar I used 15 drops of the less powerful scent and 10 drops of the more powerful scent), common combinations

    • 15 Wild Orange, 10 Lavender (relaxing invigorating)

    • 10 Peace blend, 10 Frankincense (calming, relaxing, detoxing)

    • Aromatouch blend & Eucalyptus (my husband’s fave: great for sore muscles and breathing)

    • Serenity blend & Frankincense (relaxing, detoxing)

Mix salts and baking soda in a large bowl, then fill once of your coglass jars, empty it into a smaller bowl, add the oils mix well - refill the glass jar, and cover.
